The best tape width depends on the size of the surface and the amount of coverage required. Wider tape creates a larger high-grip area, while narrower tape allows more precise placement.

25mm Anti-Slip Tape

Choose 25mm tape for narrow edges, smaller surfaces and areas where precise positioning is important. It can be used along the front section of a step or on surfaces where a wider strip would be impractical.

50mm Anti-Slip Tape

The 50mm width is a practical general-purpose choice for standard stairs, entrances, walkways and everyday safety applications. It provides a wider contact area while remaining easy to position.

100mm Anti-Slip Tape

Choose 100mm tape when broader coverage is required on wide steps, ramps, platforms or busy walking areas. The larger surface area makes it suitable for locations where a clearly visible grip zone is preferred.

Where Can Anti-Slip Tape Be Used?

Anti-Slip Tape for Stairs and Steps

Smooth stair treads can provide limited grip, particularly near the front edge of the step. Applying non-slip tape creates a textured contact area that can help people and pets move more securely up and down the stairs.

Position each strip consistently and leave enough space from the edge to help prevent it from lifting during use. A 25mm or 50mm roll is suitable when you want to cut individual lengths.
Use pre-cut anti-slip strips when you prefer wide, ready-sized sections for each step.

Anti-Slip Tape for Tiles and Smooth Floors

Anti-slip tape can add traction to suitable tiled and smooth floor
surfaces in entrances, passages, work areas and around access points.
Before application, remove dirt, grease and cleaning-product residue so that the adhesive can make direct contact with the surface.

Apply the tape only when the area is completely dry. Adhesion may be reduced on loose, dusty, porous, heavily textured or continuously wet surfaces. Testing a small section first is recommended when the surface condition is uncertain.

Standard and High-Visibility Colour Options

Colour can be selected to suit the appearance and safety requirements of the area. Black provides a more discreet finish, while black/yellow hazard tape makes steps, edges and changes in floor level more noticeable.

How to Apply Self-Adhesive Anti-Slip Tape

1. Inspect the surface.
   Make sure it is firm, smooth and suitable for an adhesive product.
2. Clean the area.
   Remove dust, dirt, oil, grease and other residue.
3. Allow the surface to dry.
   Do not apply the tape to a damp or wet surface.
4. Measure and mark the position.
   Plan a consistent layout before removing the backing.
5. Cut the required length.
   Use a suitable cutting tool when installing tape from a roll.
6. Apply from one end.
   Remove the backing gradually and avoid trapping air underneath.
7. Press down firmly.
   Apply even pressure across the complete strip, especially around the
   edges and corners.
