Rubber Speed Hump Sections for Modular Traffic Control

Use rubber speed hump sections to build a traffic calming system that suits the width of your road, parking area or entrance. Combine multiple middle sections to reach the required length. Then place a sloped end section at each side to complete the installation.

The sections use durable recycled tyre rubber. In addition, the yellow surfaces have an EPDM coating. This creates a clear black-and-yellow layout that drivers can recognise quickly.

Choose a Middle or End Section

The Middle Section and End Section perform different functions. Therefore, check the specifications before selecting your variation.

Middle Section

The Middle Section forms the main part of the speed hump. Each section measures 50 x 35 x 5 cm. You can connect multiple sections to cover the required road or entrance width.

Each Middle Section comes as one fixed black-and-yellow unit. The colours cannot be ordered separately. Reflective cat eyes improve visibility at night and in other low-light conditions.

Middle Section features:

  • Dimensions: 50 x 35 x 5 cm
  • Fixed black-and-yellow combination
  • Reflective cat eyes
  • Grooved surface for water drainage
  • Pre-drilled mounting holes
  • Modular design
  • Suitable for indoor and outdoor use

End Section

The End Section creates a sloped finish at the outer edge of the speed hump. Each section measures 25 x 35 cm. Use one at each end to create a smoother entry and exit for vehicles.

Unlike the Middle Section, the End Section is available separately in black or yellow. It does not contain reflective cat eyes.

End Section features:

  • Dimensions: 25 x 35 cm
  • Available in black or yellow
  • Sloped shape for a smoother transition
  • Grooved surface for water drainage
  • Pre-drilled mounting holes
  • Connects with the Middle Section
  • Suitable for indoor and outdoor use
  • No reflective cat eyes

Durable Rubber Speed Hump Sections

These modular sections use recycled tyre rubber. The material resists regular impact, changing weather conditions and everyday wear.

The grooved surface helps water drain from the speed hump. Meanwhile, the contrasting black and yellow colours make the installation easier to recognise.

Because the system consists of separate parts, you can adjust its total width by adding or removing Middle Sections.

Applications for Modular Speed Humps

Rubber speed hump sections help reduce vehicle speed in locations where drivers, pedestrians and equipment share the same space.

Common applications include:

  • Parking areas and parking garages
  • Residential estates
  • Private access roads
  • Warehouses and loading areas
  • Commercial and industrial premises
  • Schools and pedestrian areas
  • Entrances and security checkpoints

You can also use rubber wheel stops to help drivers park in the correct position.

How to Build a Complete Rubber Speed Hump

First, determine the total width that the speed hump needs to cover. Each Middle Section adds 50 cm to the installation. Next, add a 25 cm End Section at both outer edges.

For example, five Middle Sections and two End Sections create a total length of 3 metres:

  • 5 Middle Sections = 250 cm
  • 2 End Sections= 50 cm
  • Total length= 300 cm

All sections include pre-drilled mounting holes. However, the correct fasteners depend on the installation surface. Check the surface and local requirements before installation.

FAQ

Q1: What is the difference between a Middle Section and an End Section?

The Middle Section forms the main raised area of the speed hump. The sloped End Sections finish both outer edges and create a smoother transition for vehicles.

Q2: Can I order a Middle Section in only black or yellow?

No. Each Middle Section comes as a fixed black-and-yellow unit. Only the End Section is available separately in black or yellow.

Q3: Which sections include reflective cat eyes?

Only the Middle Section contains reflective cat eyes. The End Section does not include reflective elements.

Q4: How many sections do I need?

This depends on the required total width. Each Middle Section adds 50 cm. You also need two 25 cm End Sections to complete both sides.

Q5: Can I use the sections outdoors?

Yes. The rubber sections are suitable for indoor and outdoor installations.
